Rules Of Dressage UK
To qualify for Dressage UK championships your horse must be eligible to compete at that level. You must also gain one score sheet with the following % or higher.
Intro 58%
Prelim 60%
Novice 60%
Elementary 58%
Medium 58%
On entering the Dressage UK qualifier you must be a current member. You will be asked to declare your horses British Dressage points. You cannot compete at a lower level than you are able to with British Dressage. We will be checking points.
NOTE: ONCE A HORSE HAS BEEN PLACED 1ST OVERALL, SCORING 69% OR OVER 4 TIMES IN A SINGLE SEASON THEY WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO ENTER AT THAT LEVEL! But may still compete in the DUK winter finals.
Grades of horses
Horses may compete only at the level they are graded or higher as per BD rules. The upper points limit for each grade is as follows.
Preliminary 49 points
Novice 124 points
Elementary 199 points
Medium 299 points
Prize Money
Prize money is awarded for every five competitors. Five people must compete in a class for 1st prize, ten must compete for 2nd, fifteen must compete for a 3rd prize to be awarded.
Dressage UK is run under BD rules.
